According to the OECD, Northern Germany possesses one of the best prerequisites for the successful development of a green hydrogen economy.

For this reason, the economic development agencies of the five northern German states of Bremen, Hamburg, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Lower Saxony, and Schleswig-Holstein have joined forces to create the HY-5 green hydrogen initiative. The goal is to raise awareness of this attractive hydrogen region among key stakeholders both domestically and internationally.
